CHA Inspired and Breaking News!

I have some exciting news to share today! My friend Sue, has invited me to be part of her very first McMahon 5 Designs design team! I just got back from CHA with her last week and she is going to have lots of new and exciting products to offer! Be sure to sign up for her newsletter when you visit her store, so you can get updates when the new goodies arrive. :)
My very first M5D sample this week is an altered wooden plaque which was inspired by SO MANY of the wonderful eye-candies I witnessed at CHA. I've been like a mad scientist working on this piece for the last couple of days. Mwwahh! And I've totally enjoyed every minute of it. :) The main image is a brand new Heart Digi from McMahon 5 Designs. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love with it's intricate design. I decided to print it onto glossy photo paper, just to see how it would come out. Then I inked over the image with Distressed Tattered Rose ink to soften the white background. After that, I coated it with Versa Mark ink and embossed the whole thing with SU Dazzling Diamonds. (I like it!) And what do you think of these really cool Wooden Flourishes?! I'm gonna HAVE to HAVE more of these! I added some glitz to them by first adding Stickles Distress Worn Lipstick and then layered on top some Stickles Starry Night. The background of this piece is layered in different papers from the Old World Stack which I've had forever. I've textured, spritzed with antique gold and stitched for a more weathered look. I then added the Ornate Plate, by Tim Holtz with simply "love" stamped inside. And since I was going all out, I decided to add some old, black, silk ribbon I've had lying around, Prima Flowers and Basic Grey Pearls throughout for a finishing touch.

I'm so excited and honored to be sharing this new adventure with my new fellow M5D Team Members. Please be sure to stop by their blogs and take a look at their fabulous creations!
