My 'Lil Sea Turtle ~ MOJOFRIDAY

I am SO EXCITED!!! First of all, because I really love sea turtles, my friend Sue came up with this darling little Sea Turtle Digi Stamp for me. And secondly, this is my 2nd real attempt at using digi stamps. I splurged this week on a nice set of Prisma Colored Pencils after reading up on tips for using digi stamps over on SCS. I found out these pencils work well and don't cause the printer ink to smear, which is the major problem I've been having. It was making me crazy knowing there is a huge treasure of digi stamps out there and I couldn't use them! Well, no more! :) Besides, I'm always looking for a good excuse to buy more crafting supplies! LOL! At least I put that 50% off coupon at Michael's to good use. So here is my first attempt at blending with these pencils... I'm sure it's not near as good as some awesome examples I've seen. But this was WAY FUN!!! The turtle has the blending technique I learned and I also tried to blend light blue pencil into the background too, but that was really hard. So I added my pearlescent shimmers chalk over the top in a shade of teal. I really love the effect it created. As you can see I printed and layered him and then went a little crazy with the sparkles. I've followed the sketch from MOJOFRIDAY since he fit perfectly.

Hi Michelle, what a cute little guy your turtle is and a great card!!. I've always been scared to try digi stamps because of the smudging. But you've let me know what colour medium to use I might just get some prisma pencils and give it a whirl. Thanks Michelle.
Happy crafting

A girl can never have too many sparkles. This is fabulous. We have loggerhead turtles here in Georgia. There is a lot of nice detail on this and splendid colors. Terrific job! tfs
