Well, here we are with another new release from McMahon Five Designs. This one is called Peony Love. I decided to play with cheerful, bright colors this week. I'm so eager for the cold dreariness of winter to be over... So if I can't have Springtime in my yard quite yet, I'll have it in my craft room. The dp is lilybeedesign. Thinking of You

Hello, and Happy New Year my friends! Today I'm sharing a new image from McMahon Five Designs called Thinking of You. I colored this CAS card with my Prisma Pencils and then the snowy area is filled in with MS clear micro-beads I found on special at one of our local closeout stores.

As with most people at this time of year, I'm working on some New Year Resolutions. I've got quite a list going that mostly have to do with fixing up the "old homestead". It's been 11 years since we moved into our current home and its starting to show some wear and tear. I'm in the process of painting my front door a lovely teal color (my favorite color). So far, it looks really good, but I still need to finish the trim. As soon as it warms up above 50 degrees for a day or so again I will be tackling that. I'll share before and after pics when its finished. And I've also decided to start running again. I went on my first run a couple days ago.... and boy I can tell I'm not high school cross-country material anymore!!! But, hey... I'm trying and that's what really counts right? I've been teaching myself to crochet. (Thanks to Youtube videos for lefties, I can now do more than just a single crochet stitch). It passes the time when I get to school too early to pick up the kids... and it keeps my hands out of the chips. :)

I just started this ruffle scarf last night. I LOVE the rich plum color of this yarn.

I also spent a little time playing with my beads last week and came up with these pretty sparklies.

I will Sing

When I first saw this new digi image, I was immediately taken with it. It reminds me of a song by U2 called "I will Sing, Sing a New Song". I spend a lot of my day listening to music. There is nothing that lifts my spirits more than listening to good music with a positive message. Music feeds my soul and inspires my creativity. What feeds your creativity? Now, if only I had more hours in the day to spend crafting instead of the steady load of daily duties and obligations. Ah well, I will hopefully get a little down time for crafting during the Christmas break. :)

Oh, if only my youngest son could be as patient. He has already informed me that there are only 38 days until Christmas.... and of course I haven't even begun any Christmas shopping. Not that shopping is what its all about. Ah well, I'm aiming for simplicity this year. With that said, I know this coming week, with Thanksgiving and the days leading up to Christmas and the New Year, things will be very busy for everyone. Be sure to take the time and enjoy your family and friends in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. It's the people that are important. Don't worry if things don't happen the way you have it set in your mind to happen. Everything will fall into place one way or another.

"Hanging Out for the Holidays"

Hello friends. We've suddenly got a chill in the air in my neck of the woods. Frost on the windshields in the mornings when I'm taking my kids to school... We even had a scattered snowflake or two fall earlier this week. I believe Winter is finally headed our way.

This week I'm sharing a card using a happy, whimsical image called "Hanging Out for the Holidays". I colored it with Prisma Pencils and added shading with a little bit of chalk. Then I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to give that frosty effect. Then accented with textured and punched snowflakes. Just a "quick-share" today. This is our first family portrait in oh... about 10 years. Getting a crew of boys to "dress up" is like asking a cat to go for a swim at our house. Hence the Tux T-Shirts. They've often joked about wishing they had shirts like this for those special occasions where their normal attire is not appropriate. So, when we stumbled across these shirts during our back-to-school shopping in August AND we found them in the right size for all of them, we just couldn't pass them by. Of course the first reason to "dress up" in their "nice clothes" was family picture day LOL! I think they all clean up pretty nice. :)

This week I'm sharing two quick and easy projects with you. The first one (above) is a recycled chocolate box that I altered by adding this Waves of Beauty image. Now it's a perfect little gift box that will contain a sweet treasure for someone special this holiday season.

Water Baby

It's been a while since I've tried something new. And I've needed to get out and away from my little box of square cards for the day. I saw this fun fold on the SCS website a couple weeks ago and decided to give it a try. It was really very easy... and what lot of fun it was to make. :)

The image is called Water Baby. (LOVE IT!!) I colored and sparkled it with Stickles. Then used my Spellbinder die-cuts to frame it.

Dawn Patrol is amazing.

These are the "Save the Ta-Tas Balloons" They even had a sign hanging off to one side that read "Silicon-Free" :)

I liked the hummingbird on this one.

I said I'd share some Balloon Fiesta pictures here if I was able to get any nice ones. We were there bright and early yesterday and it was wonderful! I'm always amazed by the number of balloons in this event and the number of people that come out to see them every year. I tried to make a slide show, but couldn't seem to get it to work on so little sleep yesterday, so I'll just shared a few here instead.

Here is a fun CAS card I made this week using one of the two new "Birthdays" images available today at M5D. I just could not resist the beautiful swirls and flutter-byes in this image! :) This image is really great for a quick card because it's already colored. (Sometimes birthdays sneak up on me and I'm really pressed for time). Once I printed it, I used Spellbinder Labels 20 and Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die~cuts to dress it up even more.

I've been so busy with everything going on in daily life that I've not had a chance to play with this image until now. Happy Monday to all of you! Fall is in the air and I'm so thankful for the crisp, cool nights we are beginning to enjoy now. The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta begins this coming Saturday. Hundreds of Hot Air Balloons will be filling our skies from October 1st through October 9th. Its such a magical, special event we always look forward to seeing each year. If I'm lucky enough to get any good pictures for the fiesta this year, I will be sure to share them here with you. :)

Halloween Decor

Well, it's been a while since my last post. Life is going full speed ahead at our house right now. And to top it off, I've been struggling with internet connection issues. To make a long story short, I bought a new computer and router. Me, being clueless, thought I could just plug it in and go. Nope, the router needs to be configured with the modem... and that's all out of date too. Hopefully, in the next few days I will have this all sorted out. But in my bit of spare time I've managed to put this little bit of Halloween fun together. It's a brand new image available over at M5D starting today. Well, I'm making this a quick post because I'm borrowing this computer and I'm afraid I'll get kicked off the internet any second. Have a wonderful week everyone! :)

My hubby and I will be attending a 50th Anniversary celebration this Saturday. Their invitation included this beautiful picture of the couple on their wedding day. I wanted to do something special for them because it's not every day that someone celebrates 50 years of dedication to the one they love. What a testimony to commitment, and love! So, I decided to create this scrapbook page and put it in a shadow~box frame. Oh, how I hope they like it. :)

Southwestern Simplicity

Nothing defines Southwestern Culture more than a beautiful handmade Chile Ristra hanging from the front of your home. These Chile Ristras are very popular here where I live. Something we all look forward to every year, here in New Mexico, is the aroma of roasting chile that fills the air from late August into October each year. It's something you have to experience, because there simply are no words to describe it.... Well, actually "mouth~watering" is a pretty good description. :)

I created this card with the brand new New Mexico Digi-Stamp Set. I printed the chile image several times onto red card stock and then simply cut them out and layered them after I gave them each a little curve by gently twisting them around a pencil. Then I attached the Ristra to a piece of Real Wood Paper and embellished with Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and a bit of embroidery thread. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

My first little harvest of the season...

I've planted a garden again for the first time in 3 or 4 years and I picked my first yellow squash and zucchini squash yesterday. I'm going to have a bumper crop of these so I gave several to my neighbor and brought these few in. I'm going to bake fresh zucchini bread in the morning... YUM! There are Sugar Snap Peas ready to be picked in the morning too. The brussell sprouts and cauliflower are growing, but I've never grown them before, so I'm not sure when they will be ready. I also have several varieties of beans, baking pumpkins and pickling cucumbers growing sent to me by Sue at M5D. (Thanks for sending all those seeds to me Sue!). I sure hope they grow well too. :)

I'm so pleased to be part of this effort to help Tripp regain his health. I have three children who are blessed to be healthy and strong. For that, I am thankful everyday. I'm still not in the best place emotionally with the loss of my precious mother~in~law. But each day I try to find joy in the little things. Slowly but surely, I will find my happy place again.

Wow! Can you believe I have TWO cards to share with you this week? I can't! But there are plenty of Dad's that deserve recognition in our family, so I have a few more to go. "Man Cards" are not my specialty, but I'm pretty satisfied with the way these two turned out. :)

The first one above uses a sentiment from the new Father's Day Sentiments Set and is paired with the Gone Fishing image. Spellbinders Foliage, Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two and shading are the main elements here. And the second one also uses an image from the Father's Day Sentiments Set. Today is my hubby's parent's 51st Wedding Anniversary. There were no photos of their special day (as they eloped), but this one was taken not long afterwards and their love for each other really shines through. We celebrated our own wedding anniversary this past Tuesday (25 years) and are always looking to these two special loved ones for inspiration and guidance.

Today I'm sharing another new McMahon Five image with you. This Crane is so regal and peaceful looking. After coloring it, I used my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles to cut it out and then shaded olive green and grey ink along the edges. The DP is Basic Grey and the "sun" is made using die cuts from Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Spellbinders Parisian Accents that I shaded with pale yellow and then layered Stickles Gold Ice for some sparkle.

Hello friends. Today I have another gorgeous McMahon Vintage image called Bon Voyage to share with you. Can I just say I LOVE this image! I love the florals spilling from the bottom of the image and of course the ship out on the open sea just invokes a feeling of adventure that calls to me. :)

This week, I simply colored the image with my prisma pencils and then accented with Stickle Glitter (my camera didn't seem to pick up the sparkle as well I like this time). Then I cut out the image and layered onto a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangle die-cut.

I'm dreaming of a warm tropical island where the ocean waves are crashing along the shoreline. There is a warm summer breeze, and I'm walking barefoot in the sand with a frozen drink sporting a cute little umbrella... Ahhh... can you tell I'm ready for summer? :)

This image is called Beautiful Muchacha. When I first saw her, I envisioned her hair as the waves of the ocean... beautiful blue sparkling waves crashing against the sand. I used Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares, Prima Pink Pearls & Crystals, and Stickles Glitter Glue to complete this card.

Welcome Beautiful Hummingbirds

When the hummingbirds arrive, you KNOW Spring is truly here. :) This is such a gorgeous Hummingbird image and I love the way this Spellbinder creates such a delicate frame for it.

I LOVE the Springtime. All the Earth is re-awakening everywhere we look... Birds singing each morning... And for the first time this year, my Wisteria bloomed! It's grown to cover a 25 foot span of fence and has such beautiful green foliage. It's just awesome, but it was such a surprise because I planted it 10 years ago and pretty much had given up on ever seeing it bloom. It's in that in-between stage now, where the blooms are fading and the leaves are coming in. Once it is all filled out I will try and share a picture here.

The Dress

Yay! I finally had a chance to play with some more of my new Spellbinders this week. Do you know what it's like to have a wonderful supply of new goodies to play with... just calling you... and you don't have any spare time to play?!!! That's how it's been around here for the last month or so. Hopefully, I will be able to get crafty more often now that we are getting ready to leave April 15th (tax time) behind. What a relief!

My card today is featuring the newly released Fairydoodler's "The Dress", colored in purple with pink flowers. I used Spellbinders Labels 20, and Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2, to create an elegant frame. Where have I been? Oh, I've been here, just extremely busy with work and helping my MIL with anything she needs each afternoon, and soaking up all of her loveliness too. I LOVE spending time with her. And my sons have needed rides here and there a lot lately.... a couple hiking trips thrown into the mix for some much needed fresh air. Then yard is beckoning to me for it's spring cleaning. So with all that, my crafting time has been very limited recently. I managed to carve out a little time to finish this card (finally). This new McMahon Vintage image was released a week or so ago. I used some of my NEW Spellbinders (and Sue's got a TON of new Spellbinders in, so go check them out). I also used Stickles and a new Martha Stewart border punch my hubby gave me for my birthday last month.

Today we have a brand new FREE Breast Cancer Awareness Basket image available over at McMahon Five Designs. I don't know about you, but I'm SOOOO ready for Spring! Well, I'm not really loving the time change yet, but other than that, I'm eager to see the trees start leafing out and the flowers blooming again. Birthdays Rule at our house during the month of March

Starting right on the 1st of March each year, my family is eating cake the whole month long. Talk about a diet killer! Today I'm sharing the cards I've made and given so far... all for boys, so not a lot of frill going on here right now.

My youngest son, Alex's card is one I made a while back, but then I personalized it with his name and age and then added stickers from the bargain bin to the inside.

Nick is my second son and is a drummer like his dad. He has been playing drums since he was two and could hold the sticks and get behind the drum set to hit the drums. I can still picture him sitting on his daddy's lap playing drums. He is now 6'3' and a very talented drummer. I tease my hubby that Nick is now a better drummer than he is. :) His card is using the drummer from Fairydoodler's 12 Days set.

I used this stamp I'd gotten ages ago at a local stamp show and had never even used once.

This one was for my nephew. OK, still a few more birthdays to go..... Bring on the Cake! Lol!

Our trip to the zoo earlier this week really made me eager for Spring! And although it's still chilly out and the plants outside are still dormant for a few more weeks, that did not stop me from digging around in one of my flower beds and then creating a little bit of Spring right here. :)

This week I get to share this adorable McMahon Vintage "Butterfly Child" with all of you. I colored it with Prisma Pencils and then added just a touch of Stickles Starry Night glitter in the blue area of the wings. I added texture to my Prima Annalee DP. Then I decided to accent my card with Prima Roses and Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes in metallic gold dp.

Have you ever had one of those week's where you just want to crawl in a hole and hide for a month? But you can't because you need to stand strong for what is right? If you've ever had your child wrongly accused, you will know where I'm coming from. So... with that said, I am SOOOO thankful to be at the end of this week and ready to enjoy the weekend with my awesome family!

Now, on to showing you my most recent card. This week I used the newly released "Cinderella" from M5D. I colored her with Prisma Pencils and used paper from the DCWV Linen Closet stack. The pearl accents are Basic Grey. There's lots of texture and sparkle going on here.... just the way I like it! And also, I wanted to point out the link to new freebie "Awareness" image in the upper right-hand corner of my page. Go get yours and then come back and share your creations with us. Have a wonderful relaxing weekend everyone. I know that's what I'm hoping for. :)

Today I'm sharing a new image from McMahon Five Designs called Snow White. She is another beauty~ful illustration from Solocosmo. I used Prima DP and Prima Roses to embellish along with some Spellbinder die-cuts, ribbon and rhinestones from my crafting stash. I went a little crazy (OK, a lot crazy) with the wood flourishes on this one. But doesn't it look cool?! I love flourishes! And glitter and die~cuts and flowers..... Lol!
This is a very romantic image called "Sweet Love". I think the name says it all. I colored it with Prisma Pencils and chalks. It fits perfectly into a frame I found in a $1 bin a while back. I "stained" the frame by sponging some brown ink to darken it up a little. I also sponged blue ink onto the wood flourishes and then added Stickles Patina glitter over the top of that. I love that color, it's a green with just a hint of copper and silver mixed in. Heart shaped Spellbinders with Prima roses finished this framed piece off.

It's a "New Release Day" at McMahon Five Designs and today I'm sharing a card I made using this adorable new image called "Sugar Anne", by Solocosmo. With all the bone chilling winter weather we have been experiencing this week, I thought I'd warm things up a little by coloring her with my Prisma Pencils in some tropical colors. Don't you feel warmer already? :) Then I used dp from my DCWV Rustic stack and added a Prima Butterfly and some Prima Calla Lilies.

The Hot Spot Challenge ~ Natural Elements

Hello friends. Today I'm so excited to share my card as part of the newly formed Design Team for "The Hot Spot Challenge". This is a collaborative effort between McMahon Five Designs and Studio 313. (More details below). This month's theme, "Natural Elements", is a theme that comes easily to me, as during the day you can find me tending interior plants in business settings all over town. Anyways, my card uses the "Spring in Bloom" image and the natural element of WOOD. I used the real wood paper in a Quikutz butterfly die-cut that I've had forever and is one of my all-time favorites. It seems I always reach for it when I want to make a bold statement. If you click on the photo you will see that I left the cut-outs on the butterfly in place for an embossed effect and opted to accent them with Stickles glitter.

We have exciting news to share with you! Studio 313 and McMahon Five Designs have joined forces and have a monthly challenge called "The Hotspot Challenge". The First of every month will be a new Hot Challenge based on the Latest Hottest Trends!

For February our theme is Natural Elements. Go ahead and find natural elements to add to your card this month! Pull out some of the items you haven't used in a while or haven't even tried yet! We all have hemp cord, raffia, wooden buttons, cotton ribbon and how about really changing it up and using Real Wood Paper? There are hundreds of ideas for it's use in the Idea Gallery! Below is an Inspirational Photo to get your creative minds going!

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I'm sharing a new card using Shurayuki, a gorgeous new image by Solocosmo. I think she is so dreamy looking. I was out "craft store shopping" last week just for fun and found a pretty stack of paper by DCWV called The Linen Closet. So my papers for this card came out of that collection this time. I rarely buy paper anymore because I have so much, but I just couldn't resist this one. :)

This is my very first ever "Easel Card" using the new McMahon Vintage, "Meadows Sunset " image. Surprisingly, they are not as difficult to make as I imagined they might be. Sometimes I'll take forever to try a new fold because I'm afraid it will take longer to figure out and it seems like my time is always taken up with daily needs either at home or work. Ahh well... I finally got to try it out and I really liked making it. I used Prima Fairy Flora Dp, Prima Fairy Flora Pebbles, Prima Roses and Prima Vintage Lace. Oh... and more STICKLES. :)

Here is a brand new image available at McMahon Five Designs. His name is Charlie. I think he's a real cutie-pie! I colored him with my Prisma Pencils and then layered him onto striped Basic Grey card stock and then stamped the sentiment onto some Real Wood Paper. I must say that making a "Boy/Masculine" card is a big change for me. I'm so used to adding ribbons, lace, flowers and my all-time favorite Stickles glitter. But somehow that didn't seem appropriate for this cool dude. Having 3 sons in the house, you'd think I'd be a pro at boy cards. I'm gonna try and work on more "boy" stuff this year I think... in addition to my many other aspirations. :)

My family has 3 beautiful women that are battling this disease right now. The 3 butterflies on this card represent them today. We continue to hope and pray for their return to health and also for the strength of the family to support them in any way possible. Here is a new image from McMahon Vintage called "Santa Boy". This little guy really reminds me of my son as he carried his sack of gifts he wanted to give to his friends and teachers at school this morning. He came home yesterday telling me he really needed to go shopping for his friends and teachers. So off to the dollar store we went in search of little goodies for 5 teachers and some of his friends, stretching his allowance as far as we could. He had on his Santa Hat and a Jingle Bell hanging around his neck and was excited to spread his Christmas cheer. He was so pleased with the little "rubiks cubes" and chocolates he had for everyone. :)

Here's what I worked on yesterday.... Being in the desert, this is as close to the ocean as I can get. This set really makes me feel closer to the coast and it was so fun to work with jewelry findings once again. I'll be doing more of this after the holidays for sure! Isn't this little dragon the sweetest!!! Dragons are one of my family's favorite animals (even if they aren't real) so I was just tickled when I saw this image, Dragon Heart from Studio 313. As you can see, I've colored the image with my Prisma Pencils and Stickles Stardust glitter is generously accented throughout.

Just a Few of My Favorite Things...

Do you have those few, certain Christmas decorations that you just love from year to year? Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite decorations. They are not fancy or expensive in any way. They simply make me happy.

I love this lighted Christmas Angel. I bought her at a craft show about 7 years ago. I noticed her bow must have been chewed on my by kitty's, so I may have to try and replace it sometime. For now, I've just tried to reshape it.

I'm not a huge fan of the color red, so when I found this White Santa about 15 years ago, he just had to come home with me. My sister added the little ornaments to his tree and the birdseed sachet he's carrying came from a friend many years ago too.

The true meaning of Christmas, pure and simple.

I found this trio of lighted trees around 8 years ago on sale at the grocery store of all places. I love the simplicity of it and it's the perfect backdrop for the Nativity. Then over the years I found the pretty capis shell stars to put on top of the trees (too bad they aren't lighted) and the clear acrylic star ornaments add more shimmer to the whole thing I think. Those snowmen are just cute and cuddly. I don't have a big house, so this little set up has moved to different places over the years, depending on how I've moved things around each year. This year it's tucked into this corner. (I suppose I should have moved the corner shelf out from behind them, oh well, next time). But, where ever it lands each year, I always enjoy looking at it during the Christmas season. What are some of your favorite

The Wreath ~ McMahon Vintage Digitals

When I saw this new image of "The Wreath" I knew I wanted her to look like she was hanging the wreath on a door. I wasn't sure how I was going to create that effect until I remembered my really cool Cuttlebug Embossing Folder ~ Lace Door. I only used the center portion of the die-cut on Real Wood Paper from M5D, but the effect is just what I was looking for this time. After I colored this image, I cut it out and popped it with dimensional tape. There is Prima lace and Champagne Pearls from Basic Grey to accent the colors I chose.

Here is a closer picture showing the details of how well the Real Wood Paper cuts AND embosses.

She is colored in an array of my favorite colors (with Prisma Pencils) and then accented with Stickles Glitter. Finally! I've been trying finish this tissue box cover for the last several days. One thing or another kept pulling me away from completing it. I'm happy to say I've finally managed to get it finished so I could share it with you. This is my first attempt at a tissue box cover and it was a lot of fun! (I think I'll be making some more of these). I used the newly released "Merry Christmouse" image from McMahon 5 Designs and cut it out with my heart shaped Spellbinder die~cuts. Then lots of texture with Cuttlebug Snowflakes and Stickles Ruby Slippers to accent. I also went a little crazy with Stickles Icicles all over the background to give it a really sparkley~icey effect. I'm going to give this to my in~laws next weekend when we go over for our annual Christmas Tree decorating day at their house.

Sugar Plum Fairy

We have a few new releases over at McMahon Five Designs today including this image inspired from the classic "The Nutcracker Ballet" of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Solocosmo. I've colored her with my Prisma Pencils and then added a touch of Stickles Gold glitter to her dress as well as accents throughout the Prima Fairy Flora paper pad. I used a Prima Fairy Pebble to give dimension to her lollipop and then a great big beautiful Prima Rose of Spain to coordinate with the color of her dress. :)

Well, I had a pretty busy (and fun) weekend with a craft show on Friday and Saturday... Then today I got busy cleaning carpets because it's going to get really hectic around here in the next couple of weeks with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner. My job in interior plant care is also about to get crazy for a while with all the extra poinsettias to be delivered and also several companies hire us to decorate their offices for Christmas. Whew! I'm getting tired just thinking about it! Lol! But I DO love it. :)

Above is a card I made using the brand new "Clara" image from McMahon Five Designs. I also incorporated the Cute Christmas image by Studio 313 as a view through the wood framed window. Winter Penguin from Studio 313

Today I'm sharing a card I made using this brand new, sweet Penguin from Studio 313. I decided to use lots of snowflakes by adding texture and shading with blue ink on plain white card stock and then using my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis and shading with more blue ink. Then I added sparkle with Stardust Stickles and some corner accents.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like... Christmas!

Do you feel it? It's in the air.... Christmas is in the air! Yes, I know, it's only the first week of November, but it going to fly by faster than a blink of an eye. :)

This is my very first Christmas card of the season too. I'd better get busy huh?! My image is from Studio 313 called Cute Christmas and I'm loving the way this card pretty much just fell together. I textured the dp (it doesn't really show in this picture) and added a big Spellbinder Snowflake, some corner accents and a bit of ribbon from my stash. Have a wonderful week everyone.

Today I'm sharing the newly released "Swan Princess" available at M5D. I've colored her with my Prisma Pencils and placed her on this sweet little bed of Prima Mini Roses. My papers are from the Prima Fairy Flora pad which is to die for as is the Prima Butterfly as well! On the inside of my card I used the Tim Holtz Hanging Sign to add a birthday message, as this card will be for my mother-in-law, whose birthday is this weekend.

Here we are once again with a new release called Mellow Out from Shawne's Studio 313 Exclusive Designs available at one my of favorite places to shop for crafting supplies, McMahon Five Designs. This is a really cute and fun set of images all revolving around one of my favorite, cannot live without, morning drinks. That's right.... don't talk to me 'til I have a cup of coffee in hand or I won't understand one word you're saying. Lol! One of my favorite things about Studio 313 Exclusive Designs is having the choice of using a pre-colored image and also receiving the same image, not already colored, that is just waiting for you to put your own special touch to it. I used my Prisma Pencils to color this super cute and cuddly Ribbon Bear (FREEBIE!) and layered some finely glittered fabric tulle over Basic Grey, Sultry Collection DP.

Our DT Sister, Bonnie has been feeling down since learning the news that her friend, Elise was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Many of us have followed Jacque's journey this year with Breast Cancer. We are all affected by this disease in one form or another and we can all do one thing to protect ourselves. SELF EXAMS! It's quick and simple and can save your life.

The M5D girls rallied together this past week to not only cheer up our sweet Bonnie's spirits but to help bring Awarness to such an important issue that affects us all.

My Son's 6th grade Language Arts Assignment

My son came home with a writing assignment and this cute little pumpkin last week. The directions were to create a disguise for it because pumpkins are in extreme danger of being carved up or made into pies at this time of year. :)

After a couple of days of thinking of a disguise and then raiding Mom's crafting stash...

A disguise began to form. (I helped with the machine sewing of the side seams and he did the rest).

Doesn't look like a pumpkin anymore does it? There was also a creative writing element to go along with this fun project describing the pumpkin's name, where it came from and all sorts of fun, interesting tidbits. :)

For a Teen Boy's Birthday...

We had cousin's birthday celebration to go to today. Most teen boys are just too "cool" for anything I could stamp, so I searched for dragon images online (since that's what he likes), printed it, and put this together. I'm pretty sure he really liked it. :)

My Sunflowers that I planted in August are beginning to bloom. :)

I've got about a dozen Sunflowers planted along the fence and they should have just enough time to ALL bloom before we get our first hard freeze of the season.

This little Worker Bee is still "Workin it" with the last of my Hollyhocks too. :)

I don't know about you all, but this digi image of Fabulous & Feathered Lou Lou makes me want to go shopping! I mean, just look at her... She's all dressed up, has her purse in hand... I'm sure there is plenty of plastic in her purse to keep her going all day long. :)

If she isn't going shopping, then her sweet~heart is probably on his way to take her out for a night on the town. She's definitely got her "bling" on for something special, don't you agree? Lol!

Hello, and Happy Monday to you. Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using another new image from Studio 313 "Oak Tree in Fall". We are finally starting to feel the first signs of Fall here in New Mexico. It's still very warm during the day with temperatures in the 80's, but the early mornings are cool and crisp. We have even gotten some thunder storms with plenty of rain this past weekend. We had such a very busy (HOT) summer and school started back up so quickly that I'm really ready for the season to change this year.

I can still hardly believe it's already October. But since it is, I'm sharing another Halloween inspired card from Studio 313 @ McMahon Five Designs. This little guy just stole my heart when I first saw him. He has a sister too... or is it his girl friend? She's just adorable be too. I colored and blended him with Prisma Pencils and added Stardust Stickles for added sparkle on Basic Grey Kioshi Dp. Lots of layers to this card and an awesome sketch! I added a little shimmery ribbon and I'm done. Have a wonderful day everyone. :)
